Does Deako require any special wiring?
No, Deako backplates work with existing wires in your home. Deako smart products do require a neutral wire which is common in any home built in the US or Canada within the past 40 years.
What if I have multiple switches side-by-side?
When multiple switches sit beside each other, this is called a multi-gang. We support 1, 2, 3, and 4-gang configurations. Use the drop-down menu on the Deako Store to select the correct number of gangs for your home.
Can Quickwire backplates be used on a multiway with wired backplates?
Yes, Quick Wire Connectors™ (backplates) and Wired Connectors™ (Backplates) can be used on the same multiway. Check out wiring diagrams for multiways here.
